Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 28, 2026
Bruno Blocker is a focus app that helps you block and limit apps and websites. It is built to keep your information on your device. There is no account to create, no analytics, and no profiling. I do not collect, sell, or share your personal data.
What I collect
Nothing is collected by me. Bruno Blocker has no account system, no login, and no server that stores your information. I never receive your name, email, contacts, browsing history, or usage statistics.
Your data stays on your device
Everything the app needs to work is stored locally on your iPhone and never sent to me:
- Your focus sessions, schedules, app limits, streaks, and statistics are saved on-device.
- Your unlock PIN is stored securely in the iOS Keychain, accessible only on your device.
- Location triggers you create are saved on-device.
This data is included only in the encrypted device and iCloud backups that you control. Deleting the app removes it.
Screen Time and app selections
Bruno Blocker uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity) to block and limit apps and websites. By Apple's design, the specific apps and sites you choose are handled privately by iOS and represented by opaque tokens. Bruno Blocker never has direct access to which apps or websites you select — only Apple's system does. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
When servers are contacted
The only time Bruno Blocker connects to the internet is to power optional unlock challenges. Nothing else in the app makes network requests. Depending on the challenge you choose, the app contacts one of these third-party services:
- Word challenge — fetches the day's word from The New York Times' public Wordle endpoint. Only the current date is sent in the request.
- Math challenge — verifies answers using the public math.js and Newton math APIs. Only a randomly generated math expression is sent.
These requests never include your name, location, app selections, usage statistics, or any personal identifier. Bruno Blocker has no affiliation with these services, and their own privacy policies apply to requests made to them, including The New York Times' Privacy Policy. The PIN unlock method works entirely offline.
No tracking or advertising
Bruno Blocker contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking SDKs. I do not track you across apps or websites, and I do not sell or rent any informationg.
Children's privacy
Bruno Blocker does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects no personal data, there is nothing to collect from users of any age.
Your control
You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the app. You can manage or revoke Screen Time, location, and notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page and post the revised version here.
